Dear Friend,
The Oversea Chinese Environmental Engineers and Scientists Association (OCEESA) was organized in 1980 and became a non-profit organization incorporated in State of Ohio in 1985 to promote academic and professional excellence and networking in environmental science and engineering. OCEESA members are environmental protection professionals of Chinese descent, working and residing in USA, Canada and other countries of Asia. OCEESA currently has about 200 members residing mostly in the USA and Canada, with some in Hong Kong. OCEESA members are actively involved in environmental programs or events being held in North America.
OCEESA was instrumental in initiating and organizing the first Mainland-Taiwan Environmental Technology Seminar (MTETS), was held in 1992 in Shanghai. Since then, OCEESA has been participating in organizing subsequent MTETS. Which was held in Taipei (1993), Beijing (1995), Chungli (1996), Nanjing (1998), Kaohsiung (1999), Wuhan (2001). The MTETS has been changed to Mainland-Taiwan Environmental Protection Conference (MTEPC) in 2002 and was held in Hsinchu, and then in Xian (2004), Taichung (2005), Harbin (2007), Kaohsiung (2008), Chongqing (2010), Tainan (2011), Guilin (2012), Los Angeles (2013), Kunming (2015), Taipei (2017), and Tianjin (2019). OCEESA has also played an important role as a member chapter of Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE-USA), of organizing the Modern Engineering & Technology Seminar (METS) and Sino American Technology and Engineering Conference (SATEC).
In 1988, OCEESA became a chapter of the CIE-USA. Founded in 1917, CIE-USA is one of the earliest non-profit engineering societies in USA. An annual event was inaugurated by CIE-USA to present the Asia American Engineers of the Year Award (AAEOY) to distinguished engineers and scientists of Asian heritage to recognize and honor their contributions. Since 2002, AAEOY has been part of the official program of the US National Engineers Week. Member chapters of CIE-USA host the event in turn and 2007 AAEOY was organized and conducted by OCEESA. The event took place on March 31, 2007 in Washington, DC.
I would like to invite you to join OCEESA. Please simply visit our web site at www.oceesa.org and complete the on-line registration, or download the Registration form and submit on-line. Thank you very much.

OCEESA President
